DMM Belay Master is a Fat Boy HMS karabiner with patented plastic clip that can only be closed into place when the gate barrel is in the locked position. The two main functions of the clip are to verify that the gate barrel is properly closed and to stop the karabiner from rotating in the belay system and becoming cross loaded. It is worth noting that the clip is readily removable and is also available separately.
